Hands full of old bitterness are too full to hold new opportunities.

Holding an old grudge leaves you incapable to hold new hope.

If you lost this year, and we both did because losing is part of trying, let it go.

Mourn it.

Admit that it hurt.

Yell and ball your fists tight if you must.

And then forgive.

Release.

Take another step.

Bitterness is a weed faster than kudzu, a poison quicker than cyanide.

The only way to kill bitterness is with the antidote of gratefulness.

Be thankful. Be appreciative. Walk forward with a sense of wonder of how good the year has been.

Never carry bitterness. It’s the worst thing to pack on an adventure.

Question:
What’s one thing you are thankful for this year?
