If you’re a  blogger, you’ve had plenty of “almost published” posts.

These are ideas you thought about sharing but didn’t. Maybe it was fear, maybe it was laziness, maybe it was the simple fact that you are busy.

So the post goes unpublished, but here’s one reason we need it.

If you’ve blogged for a little while, at some point, someone told you “That post was for me.”

The funny thing is, you didn’t know. You had no idea that someone you’ve never met, in a city you’ve never been to was going to need that. You had no idea you weren’t publishing a post, you were firing a flare into the dark night of the Internet to let someone else know they aren’t alone. Or crazy or the only one that finds something funny or confusing or a million other things.

Why do you need to publish that blog?

Because it wasn’t meant for you.

It was meant for someone else.

And we need it.
